Bingo Halls Get Players Back Through The Doors With Nights Out July 2021

Pandemics and lockdowns have a lot to answer for when it comes to being physically present at things, especially bingo.  From the 23rd of March 2020, our lives pretty much changed over night.  We moved from being physically present in shops, cinemas, theatres and most importantly bingo halls, to going virtual; going online.

party ticketsThe rise in online bingo since the beginning of 2020 has been phenomenal.  Big online brands have really worked hard to attract new customers and keep the fire lit to retain existing customers, with themed nights, big prize games, celebrity appearances, the list could go on.  Of course new brands are popping up all the time with an abundance of offers and a load of games and additional entertainment to appeal to everyone.

But we also want this fun to be happening in person don’t we? We want to be back in the bingo hall, back in that real life action and back having a darn good night out.  I know there were periods when bingo halls have been open between lockdowns, but with social distancing it wasn’t quite the same.

Well, that fun is coming back now and its coming back big style.  Its fabulous to see bingo hall brands advertising some pretty fantastic events over the next few weeks.  They are going all out to remind us how blinking brilliant a night out in the bingo hall is.

Here are a few to take a look at:

Mecca  Knotty Ash Liverpool: 10th July

mecca partyFire walkers, stilt walkers, you name the party really is at Mecca in Knotty Ash Liverpool this weekend.   The Liverpool bingo hall is reopening with a bang.  They have local celebrity, Holly Ellison who appeared in BBC’s The Voice takes to the stage for what’s going to be a huge bingo bonanza.

Natasha Baxter, general manager at Mecca Knotty Ash, said:

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make our club better than ever for our customers, so we can’t wait to celebrate with this relaunch event.

“This event will be the start of a new schedule of weekly entertainment that we know our customers will love.”

Tickets for the event are £20 each which you can purchase directly from Mecca.

Mecca  Romford Essex:10th July

birthday party photoOn Saturday, Mecca Bingo Romford are letting us reclaim those missed birthdays because of blasted COVID-19.  They are decorating the hall as if it were a giant birthday party for all members that missed their birthday celebrations due to a lockdown.  Members can bring a guest for free and there are loads of birthday themed prizes, cocktails, drinks and food.

Kevin Smith, General Manager at Mecca Bingo Romford, said:

“After the success of Junemas, we’re really excited to bring people together to celebrate missed birthdays – especially those big milestone occasions that have been missed because of lockdown. The night will allow those special moments spent together with friends and family to be relived properly.”

Themed nights are being carefully planned based on  recent a survey carried out by Mecca Bingo for its customers.  Mecca bingo customers said one of the things they missed the most because of the lockdown was celebrating birthdays with groups of friends.  Looking forward to seeing other events planned by Mecca.

FunnyBoyz – Benidorm Bingo with Drag Queens Manchester

If you are anything like me, I love drag queens, so with some bingo madness in the mix I know this night will be a total blast.

FunnyBoyz is a drag artist club.  One of the best night out ever.  They are teaming up with Benidorm bingo to make a totally fabulous experience darling.  If you don’t manage to get to FunnyBoyz Manchester – they are running the event at all clubs over the UK.

I haven’t had the chance to get there yet, but I really can’t wait to try out a night at Hijingo.  Its and hour and a half of totally pumped, well, bingo.  But a bingo hall like no other.  With state of the art robots, lighting and music you literally feel like you are in a club, but playing bingo at the same time.

You buy tickets for either one or two games and there are drinks deals as well.  Currently they are also offering a Sunday Brunch session but I couldn’t see any availability until the end of July, so it looks like the place gets booked up for those prime time bingo moments.

I’m heading down south soon, I have a feeling a cheeky trip might have to be on the cards.

Every night seems to be party night at Hijingo!  Take a look at our previous post for more information.
