Following several lockdowns, a variety of tier systems, over 12 months of self-isolation and now a huge vaccine rollout – the live entertainment industry is finally back up and running here in the UK, hooray.
Bingo halls, theatres, pubs, clubs and restaurants are now all open for business again, and after what has been one extremely tough year for these venues, the public seem to be flocking back in their droves. There are still certain social distancing measures in place of course, and most venues are only operating at half capacity at the moment, nevertheless we have definitely seen a small shift back to normality this week which is great.
One live entertainment company that took on an entire new venture during the 2020 pandemic was Bongo’s Bingo. The brand immediately took most of their live events online via zoom, Facebook and YouTube etc after having to cancel almost everything last year, but now they are back in the flesh, live and ready to party in a city near you this summer…
Bongo’s Bingo – Party Bingo Is Back
As entertainment venues slowly get back up and running here in the UK, Bongo’s Bingo have announced upcoming dates for their new summer live bingo events.
The infamous party nights have always been hugely popular, and the Bongo’s team have introduced bingo to a much younger audience over the years.
Before 2020 hit, the company hosted huge live events all over the world. The brand incorporates bingo with live music, crazy games, foam rave parties and general ‘bonkersness’ all around, and now organisers have managed to create a number of socially distant and safe events for the coming summer.
Rule of 6 Remains – For Now
It’s very important that the company comply with any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and government guidelines still, as we’re not completely clear of all rules regarding social distancing just yet.
Bongo’s Bingo boss Jonny Bongo said the following of the events:
We are gearing up for a fantastic Bongo Bingo’s summer and being back is going to be brilliant. We know it has been such a difficult time for so many people and we want to raise some smiles and let everyone have a dose of much needed fun.
He continued:
We feel fun is what has been missed and we want to bring a bit of joy and happiness back. It’s great to be coming back with these shows.
All events will be socially distanced and based around having tables of 6, but it’s unknown as yet as to whether masks will still have to be worn as most events take place outdoors.
Bongo’s Thanks The NHS
As a massive thank you to all NHS workers too, Bongo’s have also decided to offer 6 free Bongo’s Bingo parties across the UK to all NHS and emergency services staff.
Events will take place in Glasgow, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Newcastle, and tickets are completely free and available on a first come, first serve basis.
A maximum of 2 tickets can be booked for these events per person.
From Indoor To Outdoor
All of Bongo’s immersive events will begin at the end of May, and will then continue on throughout the summer at some of the following outdoor venues:

It’s so great to see that these sorts of events are starting back up again now, and alongside the reopening of regular bingo halls as well, live bingo is finally back in business. Dust off all your daubers ready for an exciting summer ahead…
