Celebs, Silliness & Prizes Galore – Mecca Bingo Launch ‘Live From Studio M’

As restrictions continue here across the UK for the foreseeable future, hundreds of companies, brands and businesses across the nation are having to – once again – evolve and innovate new ways in which to operate and continue thriving.

We’ve seen so many fun and creative ways in which the bingo industry in particular has changed over the last year since the first lockdown in March 2020, but now Mecca Bingo have taken things one step further with a new venture into the world of online TV.

Their brand new show, ‘Live From Studio M’ was launched last week, and it’s already proven a massive hit among Mecca players throughout the UK. The live show takes place online every Mon-Sat between 8pm-10pm, and will run throughout the whole of February, 2021.

The first week alone saw celebs such as Anthony Costa, Kate Thornton and Towie’s Bobby Norris making appearances, plus there was a huge array of fun games, quizzes and bingo on offer too. In true Mecca fashion, the prizes on offer were pretty tasty as well, with one lucky winner walking away with over £3000.

Officials at Mecca haven’t stated as to whether this new channel with continue after February comes to a close, but I have a feeling it could become a regular occurrence in the future. With the news changing by the minute these days, and businesses unable to operate due to restrictions, online live streaming could be the way forward for many bingo brands from now on…

Missing That Live Bingo Experience?

Mecca tv show screenshotAre you longing for the days where you could just pop out to your local bingo club for a game with your pals? Well, Mecca’s new online show could be the next best thing – for now.

We have seen quite a few online bingo events being streamed over the last year of course, but this is the first brand to offer entertainment 6 nights a week, throughout an entire month.

It’s an opportunity to get that live bingo experience back into your life each night, whilst having a good old giggle along the way so it seems. The show is on offer to all Mecca Bingo members, and the stream can be accessed in either the Main Event, PennyLane or Rollercoaster rooms between 8pm-10pm Mon-Sat.

Fun And Frolicks And Prizes, Oh My.

Jump online at 8pm and join a whole host of celebrity guests in fun games such as:

  • CHATTERBOX BINGO
  • BONKERS BINGO
  • MECCA MEMORY GAME
  • HIGHER OR LOWER
  • MECCA CASH SQUARES

Ann Townsend is an avid Mecca Bingo fan and said the following of the event:

Absolutely loving ‘Live From Studio M’, but Bonkers Bingo On Saturday was brilliant. Everybody had so much fun and joined in, all the roomies I have chatted to adore Bonk, and we simply can’t wait for the next one.

She continued:

Add the fun to a chance to win prizes, and Mecca have the perfect recipe for a Saturday night out at home. Thanks Mecca.

As well as 2 whole hours of games and prizes, you’ll also get to catch up with the latest celebrity gossip too.

Watch exclusive live interviews with your favourite reality TV stars, pop stars and TV personalities, and see how they’re all coping with life in lockdown.

The entire event is socially distanced of course, and some interviews are to be held over zoom in order to keep in line with current government restrictions with regards to entertainment.

On Saturday 13th Feb, Kate Thornton interviewed beloved Birds of a Feather star – Linda Robson – after her stint on MTV’s ‘Celebs On The Farm’. The pair caught up and giggled away alongside ex Emmerdale star Adele Silva, and they chatted about Lindas experience, both in and out of the paddocks…

New Ventures For Difficult Times

Mecca bingo tv quiz screenshotI think it’s so great to see bingo brands coming up with new and innovative ways to offer entertainment during these trying times.

So many companies have changed and adapted to a completely new way of operating this past year, and it’s great to see that the bingo industry is still thriving – albeit online and not in person of course.

We can only hope that the popularity of online bingo and streamed bingo events etc, will now encourage people to re-visit their local bingo halls after restrictions are lifted – whenever that may be – as some land based clubs and halls may struggle to return if not I fear…
