There have been some rumours across the online bingo world about a new type of bingo prize where money prizes are switched to spins.
Towards the end of 2020 and following on from their success of the new game Bingo Blast, Pragmatic Play made some noise about a new type of bingo room they will be able to offer to their partners. Reels Bingo is what you could describe as a hybrid bingo room enabling the world of online bingo and casino to merge.
Instead of winning cash for a line, two lines, full house or maybe even if the game ends and you only have 1 or 2 numbers to go, you will win spins instead. Not sure how many spins, however its likely that as with cash pots, the number of spins and spin value will increase and decrease with the numbers of ticket sales, possibly with a guaranteed number that is always on offer. There may even be a progressive jackpot spins pot. The options are endless really.
It seems like a great idea for both the bingo and casino companies and the players alike as it is bridging the gap between the two ever popular online games, introducing bingo players to casino and vice versa. You play a bit of bingo and then if you win, the game doesn’t end, you can nip over to the allocated room (I assume, or there may be a choice of rooms to use the slots in, who knows) and use your spins or save them for another time.
Additionally, there might be a casino game that offers bingo tickets as prizes. We will have to wait and see.
However we do need to consider that with the important approach to safer gambling that is paramount across all operators, this new type of game could dangle a carrot to a bingo player into the world of slots that maybe doesn’t need a carrot dangling in. If you catch my drift?
Who Offers Spins As Prizes?
Today, I have done a bit of searching and being able to actually find a Pragmatic Play Reels Bingo room does seem to remain a bit of a mystery. I cant’ seem to find any operators that actually offer it yet.
As BetVictor have partnered with Pragmatic Play and introduced bingo games to their site this year, I thought perhaps they might have a Reels Room bingo game. Alas, no they don’t. The friendly operator on their live chat suggested I take a look at their little brother site; hbingo also partnered with Pragmatic Play
Over I went to hbingo, took a little look round their site and I couldn’t see any games that looked like they were Reels Rooms, so logged onto their live chat and asked if they had them live yet. Alas, no they don’t either!
I genuinely thought these guys would be snapping this new type of game up pretty swiftly as both BetVictor and hbingo are new in the online bingo world. Hopefully soon.
I tried Play OJO next another Pragmatic Play top gun, had a look at their guides and they didn’t appear to have any Reels Rooms bingo games.
