Bingo Extra Moves Over To Dragonfish Network: Existing Players Must Re-Join

There have been quite a few bingo network turnarounds and shake-ups throughout the last few months in 2020, and Bingo Extra are now the latest brand to make their move. The site has always been powered by the popular Daub bingo network since launching back in 2015, but just last week they made the switch over to the bingo software giant that is Dragonfish.

As of September 2020, all games will now run on the Dragonfish strand of 888 Holdings plc, and any existing Bingo Extra members will have to sign up to the site again. Although the overall theming of the site looks very similar in style to the original Daub one, everything else is now completely different. It is, in effect, a brand new site.

You’ll still find similar bingo variants and there are still plenty of classic and video slots available, but all bingo rooms, promotions, banking and community pages will be very different. It won’t have the feel of a Daub site at all anymore, but it can be quite exciting when a site chooses to shake things up a bit.

Things are much slicker now, and the quality of gaming is slightly more advanced, plus any existing members will receive all welcome benefits upon re-registering too. Another Daub site, Give Back Bingo has also made the recent move over to Dragonfish too, so it may not be long now until all other Daub sites follow. Could this be the beginning of an entire network migration…

Why Did Bingo Extra Move To Dragonfish?

In 2009 Daub sold both Wink Bingo and Posh Bingo over to 888 Holdings plc, and both sites still run to much success on Dragonfish software today.

The Dragonfish network have grown massively here in the UK – within the last year especially, and they’re currently the largest bingo network operator on the market. Their quality of gaming is second to none, and all of their sites feel very slick and simple to use.

Here’s a bit more info on what you can now expect from the new Bingo Extra site, and also which steps to take if you were already an existing member:

Why Didn’t They Just Move My Account?

new and existing customers sign screenshotThe Daub Alderney Ltd (license number 39022) network runs as part of the Stride Gaming Group, and therefore the original site operated on a completely different brand altogether.

888 Holdings (license number 39028) and Dragonfish have their own unique sign up and registration systems in place, so it wouldn’t have been possible to just move your existing Bingo Extra account over.

All customers are now seen as brand new customers whether you were an existing member or not, so everyone will need to go through the sign up process again from scratch. It’s really quick and simple however, as with most online bingo sites these days, so it shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to get back up and running.

Will I Need To Verify My Details Again?

As 888 are now the new licence holders of the site, you will have to verify any personal details such age, date of birth, home address and passport number etc again from scratch as well.

This is because 888 are now responsible for the safety and security of all Bingo Extra players, so it’s a legal requirement to check all customer details upon registration thoroughly.

What Bingo Games Can I Play?

The main Dragonfish offerings now include variations of:

Plus you’ll also find lots of super high quality video slots titles from the likes of NetEnt, IGT, Microgaming and Scientific Games too. Dragonfish have had such huge success within the online bingo industry recently due to their brilliant service, so you shouldn’t be too disappointed with all the new changes now on offer.

Are Payment And Promotional Features Still The Same?

All bonuses and promotions will now be in accordance to 888 offerings, and payment and banking options will also change to suit the Dragonfish brand.

The new payment methods will include:

  • Phone
  • Debit Card
  • Paysafe Card
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay
  • Bank Transfer

The minimum deposit currently stands at £5, and withdrawal minimums vary between £5-£10 depending on the payment method used.

Is The Future Still Looking Bright For Daub?

kitty bingoThe existing Daub bingo sites are perhaps not as popular as they have been over recent years, but they do still get a pretty decent amount of players.

Now that Bingo Extra and also Give Back Bingo have recently left the nest however – so to speak, we might also see the likes of Kitty Bingo and Lucky Pants Bingo soon slowly following suit?

There were also talks in 2019 of the Stride Gaming Group being considered for purchase by Rank Gaming too, so could this soon mean the end of the Daub software altogether? It might take a few more years, and a few more migrations at first, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on the cards at some point for sure..
